Pennsylvania - Midwife

Join a practice where the art and heart of midwifery is supported and cherished. Lifecycle Wellness https://lifecyclewellness.org has an opening for a full-time CNM. We are a non-profit organization, in operation for over 40 years, and are fiscally sound. We were one of the first freestanding birth centers in Pennsylvania.

The birth center is close to Philadelphia, a diverse, affordable and interesting city with a great restaurant scene, arts, universities, and quick access to seashore or mountains.

We have attended over 15,000 births at our freestanding birth center and nearby Bryn Mawr Hospital, where our midwives have clinical privileges. Our c-section rate averages 10% overall and 4-5% for people beginning labor at the Birth Center. We do an average of 55 births and 320 GYN visits per month, with a clinical staff of 9 midwives, 5 nurse practitioners and 7 RNs. Office visits are 30-60 minutes. We have a strong lactation team and a vibrant education department. We are accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC).

As a CNM at Lifecycle Wellness and Birth Center you will have a great deal of professional autonomy and the opportunity to provide full scope midwifery care in a true midwifery model. We have a close, nurturing, caring practice with strong ties between our clinical staff and administrative staff.

Midwives with experience are strongly preferred for this full-time position.

New graduates will be considered but must complete a 6-12 month fellowship (benefits, lower salary and lighter schedule) prior to being considered for employment. A job offer will be made during the Fellowship if it is a good fit.
