Houston, TX - Certified Professional Midwife
Seeking a Certified Professional Midwife to join our team of midwives at Heart of Houston Birth and Wellness Center!
Heart of Houston Birth and Wellness Center has provided personalized, compassionate midwifery care to hundreds of parents over the past 4 years here in the Houston metro area.
We are a team of 1 CNM and 2 CPMs currently. One of our CPMs is stepping down due to life changes and we are looking for another full-scope midwife to replace her. Our current volume is about 6-10 births per month. We intentionally keep a lower volume of clients each month to support our ability to continue to provide quality care. We offer hour-long visits to allow time for questions, education and discussion. Our CNM also provides wellness care, gynecology, contraception, fertility consults, and IUI!
Full-time schedule of clinic and call shifts, with an average of two clinic days and two to three 24-hour call shifts per week. At least one weekend off every month. Experienced midwife preferred, but open to a new midwife if a good fit for our team. This is a salaried position with paid time off and health insurance stipend available.
Requirements:
- Prefer an experienced midwife (new midwives encouraged to apply)
- Current NARM certification
- Current licensure as midwife in Texas
- BLS and NRP certification
