The goal of this program is to offer newly graduated midwives the opportunity to gain experience in both the community setting and hospital setting, with teaching and support from experienced midwives. The program would support the growing community at the birth center, while building the knowledge, skills and confidence of a new midwife.

This 12-Month program offers:

  • Extended on-ramp to independent practice under experienced midwives
  • Antepartum Care including basic ultrasound
  • Intrapartum Care in the birth center and hospital
  • Cesarean 1st assist
  • Immediate postpartum and discharge of parent and infant
  • Newborn care including screening tests up to 2 weeks of life
  • Robust postpartum care including PPMD and lactation
  • Contraception including IUD and Nexplanon
  • Wellness care
  • GYN problem visits
  • 1st trimester medical abortion
  • Insemination services and preconception counseling
  • Billing and coding practices
  • Paid privileges at the transferring hospital
  • Support navigating setting up provider accounts (CAQH/NPI etc.) for future practice success

Salary and Benefits:

  • $78,000 salary, with a portion retained and paid as a $5000 bonus to incentivize completion of the year
  • Fully paid malpractice that does not require tail coverage
  • $1000 reimbursable stipend for CEU opportunities
  • Paid membership with AABC
  • 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week of continuing education, sick time
  • Possible employment opportunities at the end of the program with Seasons or other affiliated centers, if available
  • Year of experience that other future employers may require
