Willow Midwives is a woman and midwife owned and operated, fully accredited and licensed birth center in Minneapolis, MN that provides individualized care for wellness across the lifespan. We offer annual wellness exams, contraception, pre-conception, prenatal care, labor and birth, lactation, postpartum care and all that lies between. Our group of Midwives are proud to provide empowering, well rounded care that combines the patient's wisdom of self with our clinical expertise. Willow will soon be celebrating our 10 year anniversary of providing birthing and GYN options for families in the Twin Cities. Our providers come from diverse backgrounds and are all passionate about midwifery care and out of hospital birth.

Willow is looking to hire a full time Certified Nurse Midwife at a .7-.9 FTE. This position is benefits eligible (including medical, dental, vision, disability), allows for 4 weeks of PTO and Midwives at Willow self schedule their call and clinic shifts. Staff midwives at Willow also have a $1,000 continuing education fund and have all required licensure and certifications paid for by Willow.

Responsibilities:

  • The position includes working a combination of clinic shifts (8 hours) and on-call shifts (24 hours).
  • Staff midwives provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, family planning, and primary health care including screening, annual exams, contraceptive initiation and management all in agreement with Willow Midwives’ philosophy.
  • Participate in all staff meetings, midwifery meetings, emergency practice drills and other yearly training. 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Midwife training program
  • Have a current, or be eligible for a MN APRN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges
  • Be certified through the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)
  • NRP and BLS certifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNM or as a nurse in Labor & Delivery is preferred
  • Commitment to the philosophy of out-of-hospital birth
  • Familiarity with birth center and midwifery model of care
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced working environment. Ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
